For us idiot millennials born in the front-end of the nineties we never had the opportunity to fully enjoy MJ. At all. And so many of the details of MJ that were so fascinating to discover, like being the high school player who didn't make the varsity basketball team his sophomore year, or the kid who'd make himself the standout star on UNC after that game-winning shot against Georgetown in the 1982 NCAA Championship. From then on, it was "Michael Jordan" only.

2.  THE GREATEST SHOW IN BASKETBALL WAS DESIGNED TO END

​

From the beginning, we are told that a) 1998 will be Phil Jackson's last year as head coach of the Chicago Bulls and b) Michael Jordan isn't interested in playing for another head coach and c) that the Bulls are on their way to winning another (consecutive) championship. Yes, all of those things are existing simultaneously. Enter GM Jerry Crouse, the most-hated human in America next to Carol (f****n) Baskin. The GM had enough of being out of the spotlight, not feeling part of the team and not receiving the credit he believed he deserved for this historic run. We'll see how those dynamics play out over the series.

3.  PIPPIN PHENOMENAL, PHENOMENALLY UNDERPAID

$19M over six years, even in the early nineties for the kind of talent Pippin possessed is not a bargain; its highway robbery. Here he is by the numbers:  averaged two steals for his career. Two seasons at three steals. Named to twelve all-defensive teams. Clearly instrumental in the Bulls Championship runs. I have a feeling he gets his money at some point...

4.  TRAVELING COCAINE CIRCUS

BUT MJ WASN'T INVOLVED, THEY SWEAR. There's no doubt the Bulls had their fair share of partying ways, given the cast of characters on that roster included the party legend himself, Dennis Rodman.

5.  WHISKEY? SCOTCH?

What is in that beautiful scotch glass next to MJ that has its liquid levels all over the place throughout the course of the six hour interview? Was it his own brand of tequila? A scotch? Maybe a whiskey? And what I'd really like to know is how many times the crew refilled it...
